Position Overview
The Manager, Medical Surgical and Telemetry is responsible for the operational, clinical, and administrative leadership of the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units in a high-volume acute care hospital. The hospital performs approximately 4,000 surgeries annually and averages 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The facility also features a Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the only Total Joint Center in the region. This role oversees patient care delivery, staff performance, and day-to-day unit operations while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all units, including staffing, scheduling, workflow, and daily operations

Support staff development, performance management, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams and physicians

Oversee clinical quality, patient care outcomes, and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Participate in departmental planning, budgeting, operational improvements, and promote a culture of patient safety and continuous improvement
